Jeveli’s Restaurant is established.

Operated by Italian immigrant Pasquale Ievoli (his name was misspelled at Ellis Island) and his wife, the former Agatha Di Nisi, it is located at 387 Chelsea Street. Described as the first Italian restaurant in Boston, the restaurant is expanded over the years by the family, and closes in 2022.
